Prestridge were held Wednesday at the Baptist Church in Cheyenne with Rev. Harry Comer in charge. He was assisted by Rev. Harry Stevens of Strong City. Mrs Prestridge passed away Sunday evening, March 15, 1953, after a few days of critical illness. Committal was in the Strong City cemetery, under the direction of the Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne. Mrs. Prestridge came to Roger Mills County with her husband in the early days and resided in the Strong City community until a few years ago when she moved to Cheyenne. Lula Maude Cofer was born February 10, 1876 in Leon county, Texas. On February 8, 1894, she was married to Andy C. Prestridge in Coke County, Texaas. To this union two children were born, Cletis Ivy and Larkin A., both of whom are deceased. After the death of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Kdnall, Mrs. Prestridge cared for her six grandchildren. Immediate survivors are her husband, Andy C. Prestridge; six grandchildren who are Florence Gray, Liberal, Kansas; Murel Adams, Fresno, California; Dorothy Summit, Elk City, Oklahoma; Louise Gretman, Canute, Oklahoma; Elwyn Kendall, Chedyenne, Oklahoma and T-Sgt. James C. Kendall, Malbar, California; and their father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kendall of Torrance, California; two brothers, Jim Cofer and Gus Cofer, both of Strong City; and five sisters who are Nanie Grissom, Elk City, Oklahoma; Minnie Hammit, Ft.
