The photograph was taken with the nearby railroad to my back, standing on San Jacinto, with Hanson Street to my right. I saw no sign designating the cemetery as "Hanson Cemetery", but one of my students who researched the site reported it was known as Hanson Cemetery, which makes sense since it is located on Hanson. Between the cemetery and the railroad, across San Jacinto, is the old Reaves Feed Store. Additional Comments: See also this web site for a listing of the interments at Hanson Cemetery: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GScid=1977616 Several of the other Liberty County cemetery listings did not include Hanson Cemetery. It does not appear on many online mapping services.
