Brown bjuvenile@internet8.net ==================================================================== BROWN, LIMESTONE COUNTY. A short story about one of my relatives. Gilbert Theopolis BROWN, of Mexia, TX in the mid 1920's. He was son of Telmachus Mortimer BROWN, and his second wife Emma Carrie KILDOW. Worked in the oil field as lease broker, tool pusher. Reportedly shot and killed a man. It was noted that the victim was the town bully, and had threatened Gilbert. Gilbert was known as "Foff, also Baldy, also Squire." It was reported that the victim had threatened the life of Foff several times, and on this particular occassion made a motion as to go for a gun. Foff had one and used it. Unfortunately the victim was only bluffing. I was told that no charges were filed.
