(Josephene) Goodrich, Native of Oletha, Dies in Coolidge (1968) Funeral services were held in Coolidge at the First Baptist Church Friday afternoon for Mrs. A. C. Goodrich who died at her home in Coolidge Wednesday, November 27. Rev. Gerald Williamson of Corsicana, former pastor of the First Baptist Church in Coolidge, and Rev. Benjie McBride, Methodist pastor, officiated at the services. Burial was in the Coolidge Cemetery under the direction of McElroy Funeral Home. Mrs. Goodrich was born at Oletha, December 10, 1901, and had been a resident of Coolidge for the past 39 years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and operated the Goodrich Variety Store with one of her sons, Jack Goodrich. She was the last member of the Jodie and Martha McKenzie family of Oletha and was the youngest member of the family. She was preceded in death by only two days by the oldest member of the family, Mrs. Nola Shields, 87, of Groesbeck, who passed away Monday, November 25. Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Lucille Prichard of Richardson; Mrs. Jo Evelyn Schnorbus of Marshall; and Mrs. Martha Neale of Teague; four sons: W. J. Goodrich of Fort Worth; Hollis and Clyce Goodrich, both of Pasadena; and Jack Goodrich of Coolidge; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
