Limestone Co. TX - OBIT: W. E. Scott Submitted by Anna Penny alp@vvm.com W.E.SCOTT, JULY 4, 1896 This obit is in part of the Frosa Facts section of the Groesbeck Journal for July 9, 1896. It is with sadness and sorrow in our hearts that we chronicle the untimely death of our friend and neighbor, Mr. W. E. Scott. He died at Groesbeck last Saturday, about 9:00 a. m. surrounded by his family and near relatives. His illness was brief, having about a week in duration. He died of complications of lung and heart failure. He had been back from Chicago where he went with cattle only a few days when he was attacked by the dreed disease. The services were conducted by Rev. G. L. Jennings. In the presence of a large (ceremonies-can't read) of sorrowing friends and relatives, the remains were laid to rest in the cememtery last Sunday. We resderour heartfelt condolances to the near and dear onews of the departed.
