F. Kengs Observe Golden Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Keng were honored with an open house last Sunday at the Culture Club Building. Hostesses were Mmes. Willis Gregory, Wilfred Tumlinson, Nettie Wagner, Dee Holland, Jim Hyatt and Terrell Garrett, and the Kengs' son, Bill Jr., of Austin. MIss Johnnie Lou Walker was at the guest register. The refreshment table was covered with a lace cloth over gold and was decorated with a large arrangement of white poinsettia with gold grapes, carrying out the Christmas motif. The mantel held an arrangement of bronze chrysanthemums. The beautifully decorated wedding cake, coffee and punch were served by Mrs. Jimmy Allen and Miss Charlene Garrett. Mrs. M. E. Maddox played background music during the afternoon when one hundred and eleven guests registered. Mr. Keng was born in Lee County near Giddings; Mrs. Keng was born at Valley Spring. The couple was married at Cherokee in 1910 by the late Elder J. W. Shook. They have one son, Bill. Mr. and Mrs. Keng have made their home in and near Llano all of their married life.
