CHAS. VINSON AND MISS RUTH JONES MARRIED



Saturday, a telegram was received by home folks here from Llano, Texas, 

announcing that Mr. Charlie Vinson and Miss Ruth Jones had just been 

married. Both were reared two miles east of Roanoke and have many friends 

that will be interested in learning of the happy culmination of a romance 

that had been running for a number of years. Both young people formerly 

worked in the Western Union office in this city, Miss Jones later going to 

Birmingham to accept a position. Only a few weeks ago Mr. Vinson went to 

Llano as operator at that place. He met Miss Jones in New Orleans and 

together they journeyed to their future home in Llano. Best wishes to this 

excellent couple.
