Allsup, of Dallas, Texas, died suddenly in Dallas on Sunday morning, September 21, 1924, at his home. He became ill late Saturday while at work as a cement finisher. Cause of death is listed as heat exhaustion. He was born in Llano County, Texas, the son of Henry P. and Syrilda Jane Hines Allsup. He removed with his family in 1896 to Carter County, Oklahoma and in 1900 to Greer County, Oklahoma. A few years after the death of his father in 1903 he and his mother moved to Oklahoma City for a time, later moving to Dallas, where his younger sister Pearl Allsup was living. In addition to his mother and sister in Dallas he is survived by brothers C. C. Allsup and Carl Allsup of Willow, OK, a sister Mrs. Ora Hill of Carter and another brother, Franklin Allsup of McAllister, all of whom attended the funeral in Dallas on Monday, September 22. Another sister, Mrs. Oma Reeves, of Cleveland County, OK also survives. The remains were brought to Willow and interred on Tuesday in the Spring Creek Cemetery, where his father is buried. He was given a Masonic burial, being a former member of the lodge in Willow and a member of the Dallas lodge at the time of his death. He was a single man, aged 40 years and was living with his mother at the time of his death. ================================================================================================
