C. Allsup, mayor of Willow, who was operated for ruptured appendix at Border-McGregor Hospital Wednesday, died as a result of complications following the operation Saturday afternoon at 5:30. General peritonitis, resulting from the ruptured appendix was the direct cause of Mr. Alsup's death. Mayor of Willow at the time of his death, Mr. Alsup had been an active citizen of that community for more than 25 years. Mr. Alsup's work in the Masonic lodge headed the long list of his activities. Being a consistory Mason of the thirty-second degree, he was an efficient lecturer and instructor in the work. The consistory services were conducted by Frank A. Derr of Enid, at midnight Sunday. He is survived by his wife and mother, six sons, Aubrey, Marvin, Carl, Dudley, Marshall and DeWitt and two daughters, Barcy and Georgia May. Funeral services will be held at Willow at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment will be held at Spring Creek cemetery. ====================================== Notes: Don Carlos Allsup was born in Sandie Mountain, Llano County, Texas, 11 May 1878. He was the son of Henry Pulliam Allsup and Syrilda Jane Hines Allsup. His father died in 1903 in Willow. He was survived by his family, mentioned above, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He was preceded in death by 2 infant daughters and an infant son. He married Lula Ann Clark in Reck, Carter County, IT, 4 Oct 1899. He died Saturday, 10 August 1929 and was buried in Spring Creek Cemetery Monday, 12 August 1929.
