Gerald Preston Davis Sr., 72, of Pontotoc died Thursday, April 29, 1999, in Llano.



Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home 

Chapel with burial in Pontotoc Cemetery in Pontotoc.



He was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Colorado City and had lived in Pontotoc for 12 years, 

moving from Austin. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was an iron worker in 

construction and was a Baptist.



Survivors include his wife, Bennetta Davis of Pontotoc; two sons, Gerald Davis Jr. 

of Midland and Edward Cantu of Austin; a sister, Oretha Holloway of Snyder; 

a brother, Willie Davis of Snyder; and four grandsons
