Mrs. Vest, the former Miss Swift Ella Clymer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Clymer, was born in Burnet county April 6, 1878 and about five years later her parents came to Llano county. Here she made her home for the remainder of her life, except for the ten-year period from 1918 to 1928, when she and her husband and family were residents of Portales, New Mexico. Mrs. Vest, at an early age, was baptized in the Baptist church, but later, following her marriage, she entered the Methodist Protestant church. Following her husband's retirement from active participation in the latter, of which he is an ordained minister, however, she returned to her early faith. Last Sunday, after attending church, she was stricken by the illness that later resulted in her death. She knew, according to reports, that death was inevitable, and she accepted the result of her illness in the manner of a Christian. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Miss Iva Vest, and a brother, Marion Clymer, as well as numerous other relatives. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. P. Ray, pastor of the Llano Baptist church, and interment was under the direction of the Home Furniture company. Pallbearers at her funeral were her nephews, Guy Clymer, Lauren Baldwin, Berford Vest, Frank Reagor, Damon Reagor and Clifton Reagor. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends were present at the family cemetery, Sunday to pay tribute to the memory of one who was a member of a pioneer Llano county family. ===========================================================================================
