Bobby was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 1967. As Detroit Lions quarterback, he engineered the team to 3 Divisional titles and 2 NFL titles. He invented the 2-minute offense now commonly used by the NFL. Other teams Bobby played for included the Chicago Bears and the Pittsburgh Steelers. While at the University of Texas, he was an All American. Bobby is resting in the Layne family plots in the City of Lubbock Cemetery.
