Dedicated to the memory of our pioneer ancestors, Richard and Matilda Farris, 
by thier ancestors. 
Both were born in Virginia, settled in Franklin County Tennessee, and raised 
fourteen children. Seven sons and seven daughters before migrating to Walker 
County, Texas in the early 1850's.
