Jefferson, Tex. - Earl Martin, 68, died Saturday in the Linden Municipal 
Hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Cotton Valley, LA., and 
retired from the Ohio Oil Co.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the White Hall Methodist 
Church near Cotton Valley. The Rev George Tucker will officiate. Burial will 
be in the White Hall Cemetery under the direction of the Haggard Funeral Home 
of Jefferson.

Survivors are his widow; three daughters, Geraldine Van Schoyck of Jefferson, 
Louise Moss of Dallas and Beverly O'Neal of Longview, five sons, Bobby J. 
Martin, Gordon Martin and George Martin, all of Jefferson, Ralph Martin of 
Shreveport, La., and Max Martin of Blanchard, La., three sisters, Mrs. Mable 
Thomas of Atlanta, Mrs. Edna Merritt of Evergreen, La., and Mrs. Christine 
Bossier of New Orleans, La.; three brothers, W.D. Martin of Atlanta, L. P. 
Martin of Houston and Ellis Martin of Borger, 16 grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
Earl was the son of Daniel Webster MARTIN & Mary Ann "Mollie" PLUNKETT. He 
married Audrey MALLORY.
