Eagle Pass, Tex., Sept. 14 - Owen C. Dowe, county and 
district clerk of this country, died at 4 o'clock this 
morning of typhoid fever. He was serving his second term in 
that office and was a very popular officer. His funeral took 
place this evening from the Episcopal church and was very 
largely attended. He leaves a widow and one child.
