The spring located at this ranch house was a long ago meeting place for Indians. The name, Wau-Ban-See, is an Indian name meaning "Earth Mirrored in the Water." The legend surrounding the burial located at Wau-Ban-See is that it is the grave of a traveling preacher. No name legible on stone ? late 1860's
