BERT ASKREN Mrs. Bert Askren, 36, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 1000 North Sixteenth street. She is survived by her husband. Services will be held at Wilkirson-Hatch chapel Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m. with Rev. Charles M. Crow officiating. The body will be shipped at 7:45 p.m. to Palestine, Ill. for burial. Waco Times Herald September 15,1952 JOE E. REEVES The old South First street cemetery where his parents and his grandparents before him are buried, is to serve as the last resting place for Joe E. Reeves, 61, who died Wednesday at 8:45 p.m. at his residence, 828 Pecan street. Puckett-Deford is in charge of arrangements, and services are to be from the Full Gospel Tabernacle, Fourteen and Morrow streets, Thursday at 5 p.m., with Rev. A. C. Lane officiating. He is survived by his son, Nallie and two daughters, Mrs. Lissie Gilbert and Mrs. Emily Headricks. Waco Times Herald September 16,1932 JACK SELEY RUSH Funeral services for Jack Seley Rush, 10, who died at 5:10 p.m.m Thursday at his home, 1525 Barnard avenue, will be from the Austin Avenue Methodist church at 4 p.m. Friday Rev. Garsston Hartsfield officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery, Compton undertakers in charge. Boy scouts and members of his Sunday school class will be active and honorary pallbearers. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Rush; one brother, L. Preston Rush, who is in the navy on the U.S.S Houston, now stationed at Tings Toa, China; one sister, Edith. ANNA IVERSON Funeral for Mrs. Anna Matilda Iverson, 55 of 1423 North Tenth street, who died at 6 p.m. Thursday at a local sanitarium, will be held from the First Lutheran church at 3 p.m. Saturday. Rev. M. B. Quill officiating. Interment will be in the Oakwood cemetery. Compton undertakers in charge. Pallbearers will be E. Nelson, N. O. Nelson, Otto Bronstad, A Rogstad, Arthur Ryden, Fred L. Storm. Surviving are her husband, K.M. Iverson; three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Johnson of Waco, Mrs. J. E. Bogvold of Waco and Mrs. Signa Hodnesdal, Norway. Born in Norway, Mrs. Iverson came to the United States 31 years ago and came to Waco, where she made her home since. Mrs. Johnson, her sister, is enroute from Norway, where she went to attend the funeral of her mother, who died there several weeks ago. Waco Times Herald September 16,1932 M. B. HOPPER Funeral services will be held Friday at 5 p.m. from Wilkerson-Hatch chapel for M. B. Hooper, 67, who died at his apartment in Hardin apartment building at 9:15 p.m. Thursday following an illness of about a year. Mr. Hooper was stricken last September while in Clover, Pa., and was brought to his home here. Ha had been ill since. Surviving are his widow, one son, L. C. Hooper of Victoria; two daughters, Misses Paulene and Hazel Hooper, both teachers in Waco public schools; two brothers L. C. Hooper of Clover, Pa., one sister Mrs. E. S. Payne of Dickson. Rev. J. K. O'Heeron will officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood cemetery, J. H. Gurley lodge, No. 337 A. F.and A. M. in charge at the grave. Mr. Hooper was born in Dickson county, Tenn., and had been a resident of Waco for 22 years. Pallbearers will be Frank Miller, Frank Oldham, Arthur Allagood, W.A. Webb of Dallas, W. T. Waco Times Herald September 17, 1932 E.O GRIFFIN Word has been received by J. M. Griffin of McFadden company, that his brother, Edward O. Griffin, assistant to the president, in charge of purchases and stores of the Cotton Belt Route, died suddenly from heart disease in his office in St. Louis Tuesday afternoon. He was born at Madison, N. C., Jan. 3, 1867 and was admitted to the Texas bar in 1890. He is survived by his widow; two sons, E.O. Jr., and William C.; three daughters, Frances C. Patt, Lynn and Mary F. Griffin. Funeral has been set for Monday afternoon in St. Louis, pending the arrival of a son from California. Waco Times Herald September 17, 1932 LORRYE K. WATT Funeral for Lorrye K. Watt,37, will be held from Compton's chapel, Saturday at 4 p.m. with Rev. J.K. O'Heeron officiating, interment at Rosemound Cemetery. The American Legion will be in charge, as Mr. Watt served overseas on the S.S. Minneapolis for 30 months during the war. Active pallbearers will be Julius Genecov, Henry Guynes, Sam Mormino, C.J. Waco Times Herald September 18, 1932 DUNKLIN, FRANCIS MARION The body of Francis Marion Dunklin, 32, of Mount Pleasant, who died in a sanitarium in Salem, Ore., Sept. 13 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident, will be sent to Waco for burial in Rosemound cemetery. The date of the arrival of the body is not known by Puckett-DeFord undertakers, who will have charge and funeral arrangements have not been made. Mr. Dunklin is survived by his mother and one sister, Miss Georgia W. Dunklin, of Mount Pleasant; one brother, H.P. Dunklin, Jr., of Shreveport, La.
