Evans, 75, of Mart, father of Thomas H. Evans Jr. of 1107 North Sixty-fourth, died Sunday in a Marlin hospital. Services will be at 3 p m today in Littlepage Funeral Home in Mart, Rev. Bill Smith officiating, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Evans was a native of Denison and came to Waco. In 1923 as a machinist with Katy Railroad. He served as superintendent of the Katy locomotive shops for six years until his appointment in 1945 as chief mechanical officer with headquarters in Parson, Kan. He served in that post until his retirement in 1956. Mr. Evans was a member of First Baptist Church in Mart and was a 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Richard L.
