Day Moody, Texas. A member of the oldest family in Coryell County died at her farm home near here. She was Mrs. John W. Day , 94. Mrs. Day was the daughter of Frederick Miller Grimes a veteran of the Battle of San Jacinto. Her sister, Nancy Ellen, was the first white child born in Coryell County. Her parents were the first settlers in Coryell County, arriving when the present county seat of Gatesville was known as Fort Boot. Mrs. Day is survived by two sons, seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
