A. E. Heckmann officiating. Burial in Rosemound Cemetery, Waco. Mr. Ender helped establish the city of Penelope in Hill County where he farmed for many years before coming to Waco 40 years ago. He settled in Penelope before the railroad came through. His wife often fed the railroad construction workers. He gave lumber to build a Negro church in Penelope. He served on the school board and was a well-known horse breeder. Survivors include 5 sons: Bernhard Ender of Malone, Rinhold Ender of Mart, Albert Ender of Penelope, Ernest Ender of West, and Walter Ender of Dallas; 3 daughters: Mrs Lena Miller of Porterville, Calif., Mrs Emilie Angermann of Waco, Mrs Ida Scheu of Waco; 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
