(Mattie) Harper, 74, of 3737 Grim, a former Sears Roebuck Co. employee, died Saturday morning at her home. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Wilkerson and Hatch Funeral Chapel, Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will be in Waco Memorial Park. Mrs. Harper was born in Bruceville and attended schools there and in Waco. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She married George C. Harper in 1928. She had worked for the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and for Sears before retiring in 1964. Mr. Harper is the secretary for Fidelis Masonic Lodge. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Doyle Harper, of Oceanside, Calif., and Don Harper of Crawford; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
