Miller, 82, resident of Mart for 50 years, died at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday in Hillcrest Hospital, Waco. He had not been well for a number of years, but had been critically ill only a short time. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Littlepage Chapel with Rev. Joe Walts Jr. of Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Mart Cemetery. Deceased was born Oct 15, 1879 in Ashland, Ala., coming to Mart in 1912 and had lived here ever since that time. He was a retired farmer, retiring eight years ago on account of ill health. Mr. Miller was a member of the Baptist Church. His many friends will regret to hear of his death. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Burl Miller, Waco, Woodrow Miller, Mart, and Earl Miller, Riesel; four daughters, Mrs. C. B. Ward and Mrs. M L Blount, both of Mart, Mrs. Jack Ferguson and Mrs. Clara Russell of Waco; one sister, Mrs. Verma Leeth, San Angelo ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. MART HERALD SEPTEMBER 23, 1982 CLAUDE VICTORIA MILLER Claude Victoria Miller, age 98, of Mart, died Tuesday night in a Mart nursing home. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 2:30 p.m. at Littlepage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W.H. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mart cemetery. Mrs. Miller was the widow of John Mansfield Miller, who died July 18, 1962. She had been a resident of the nursing home for over 17 years. Survivors include three sons, Woodrow W. Miller and Beryl Miller, both of Mart, and Earl Miller of Riesel; three daughters, Mrs. W.T.(Wanda) Wigley and Mrs. M.L. (Zema Ree) Blount, both of Mart, and Mrs. D.L. (Clara) Isom of Dallas; one brother, Grady Pearson of El Paso; 11grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. THE MART HERALD SEPTEMBER 27, 1990 Beryl Levie Miller, 84, of Mart died Monday, September 24, at a Mart nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 27, (today) at Littlepage Funeral Home Chapel in Mart Rev Bill Smith officiating. Burial will be at Mart Cemetery. Mr. Miller was born on July 13, 1906 in Clay County, Alabama. He was a farmer and a guard at TDC. Survivors include a daughter, Berylene Underwood of California; a brother, Earl Miller of Riesel; and three sisters Zee Marie Blount of River City, and Clara Nell Isom and Wanda Jean Wigley, both of Dallas. MART HERALD AUGUST 25, 1988 W. W. MILLER Woodrow Wilson Miller, 76, of Mart, died Friday morning, Aug. 19, at a Waco hospital. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Littlepage Funeral Home Chapel in Mart, with the Rev. David Mallow and the Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial was in Mart Cemetery. Mr. Miller was born July 4,1912, in Clay County, Ala. He was a retired railroad engineer and had worked for the Missouri-Pacific Railroad for32 years. He was member of First Baptist Church of Mart. He married Wilma Larson on June 1, 1962, in Groesbeck. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Joan Walls of Austin; a stepdaughter, Loyce Paden of Lorena; two brothers Earl Miller of Riesel, and Beryl Miller of Mart; three sisters, Wanda Jean Wigley of' Fort Worth, Clara Nell Isom of Dallas and Zema Ree Blount of Mart; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
