Pearce is Dead at Home Here Walter D. Pearce, 53, died suddenly Wednesday night at his home, 1231 Baylor Street. It is believed that in running to catch a street car he depressed his heart so that death resulted. Justice J.J. Padgett gave it as his opinion that death was caused by heart failure due to acute indigestion, and it is thought the indigestion was encouraged by the condition of Mr. Pearce's heart. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock from the family residence, Rev. Layton Maddox pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiating, interment to be at Park Lawn. Mr. Pearce is survived by his wife and six children, four of the children residing here-Mrs. Maud Marrs, Miss Ruth Pearce, Ernest and W.J. Pearce. He also has two brothers and six sisters, one sister Mrs. W.E. Valentine, residing at Mart, and another sister, Mrs. Curtis Goins residing in Waco.
