Tibbs of West died today at Provident Sanitarium. Formerly of Waco, Thomas Coffee Tibbs was born in Scott Co., Miss., November 18, 1939, son of William C. Tibbs, a pioneer of Mississippi. He died when T.C. was fourteen. C.S.A., 20th Miss., Co. K. Dec. 1862, married to Louisa Leonora Bennett. She survives. To Texas in 1879. Member of Waco City Council, 1st ward for 6 years. Moved to West in 1898. Surviving children: Mrs. W.H. Moser of Dallas, Mrs. Austin Robinson of West, Thomas C. Tibbs of Colorado City, Mrs. Robert L. Summers of Boston, Mass., Miss Carolina, Miss Bessie of West. Funeral tomorrow, Fifth Street Methodist Church.
