January 2, 1935 in Oglesby, Coryell Co., TX,.   
He married Malinda Loutitia Jones September 7, 1884 in McLennan Co., TX by Elder
J. W. McClain, 
She was daughter of Daniel Jones and Mary Grimes.  She was born January 19, 1867
in McLennan Co., TX, and died 1934 in Oglesby, Coryell Co., TX.

Dowdell was son of Wiley Chancey Jordan ( July 12, 1808 in Lincoln Co., GA,) and
married Malinda Nickerson September 21, 1837 in Monroe Co., GA
