All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm **************************************************** Lorenzo Dow Yarbrough (1840-1907) came to McMullen County circa 1860 with his father John Swanson Yarbrough (1774-1862) and step mother Francis. On November 30, 1863 Dow Yarbrough and Nancy White married in Live Oak Co. TX. Dow died on January 5, 1907 and is buried in the Old Cotulla Cemetery in La Salle County. Nancy died on February 12, 1907 and is also buried in the Old Cotulla Cemetery, but without a headstone. WARRANTY DEED. James Lowe & wife TO L D. Lowe of the county of McMullen, and State of aforesaid, for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty five ($25) Dollars to us in hand paid by L. D. Yarbrough of the said State & County the receit of which is hereby acknowledged. have Granted, Sold, Conveyed, and by these presents do Grant, Sell, and Convey, unto the said L. D. Yarbrough of the County of McMullen and State of Texas, all that certain parcel or lot of land situated in the Town of Tilden County of McMullen & State of Texas, known as for No. one (1) in Block No (36) Thrity six of said Town of Tilden. To Have And To Hold the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in any wise belonging, unto the said L. D. Yarbrough his heirs and assigns, forever. And We do hereby bind M. A. Lowes heirs, executors and administrators, to Warrant and Forever Defend, all and singular, the said prmises unto the said L. D. Yarbrough his heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to clainm the sae, or any part thereof Witness our hands at Tilden, this 16th day of July A. D. 1884. Jas Lowe M. Lowe acknowledged such Instrument to me to be her act and deed, and she declared she had willingly signed the same for the purpose and consideration therein expressed, and that shd did not wish to retract it.
