Howard, a prominent citizen and physician, in the 48th year of his age. He was a native of Coffee county, Tenn., and a graduate of the medical department of Vanderbilt university. He came to Texas in January, 1886, and settled in Devine, where he continued to reside until his death. His death was caused by the grip and pneumonia. He leaves surviving him besides his wife, five children, two girls and three boys.
