At Ben Arnold there will be an old gas station, turn right on FM 1444. Go down FM 1444 for about 5 miles, then on a hill (second hill and second bridge) the sign, Vogelsang Cemetery, this turn will be on the left, and it will be Co. Rd.137.Go down Co. Rd. 137 for about 3 tenths of a mile and the cemetery will be on the left, park right across from the cemetery. Right across the cemetery is where Augusta Schwarting-Vogelsang (wife of Frederick (Fritz) Vogelsang) erected a church for the Vogelsang Community; it was torn down in the 1960’s,the scrap lumber from this church was sent to Ben Arnold along with some lumber from a church in Burlington to build a church in Ben Arnold. The cemetery is in two sections, the 'old'section and the 'new' section. The old part is on the left side and the gravestones are at about a 45 degree angle facing the east. The new part is on the right and the gravestones are facing the south. ================================================================ 'Old' Section (Left side) 1 & 2 Dahse Father Mother Ernest Henrietta Born Oct. 31, 1892 Born Dec. 18, 1896 Died Mar. 22, 1976 Died Oct. 26, 1951 3 & 4 Piske Emil G.
