Colburn, of Milam Co. was arrested but who was released at the examining trial. Article: The McGregor National Bank at McLennan Co. was robbed. Sam F. Sewell, the assistant cashier and Frank Henry, the blacksmith were arrested on suspicion. Sewell is the son of the president of the bank. Head of the Court of Civil Repeals has resigned and will locate in the practice of law at Sherman. Kane Neal who recently killed Jas. R. Mitchell at Richmond has been denied bail. Sheriff Bickett was served with a capias from the 1st Dist. Court of Travis Co. for Dan McCray, charged with the murder of D. C. Freeman. Sheriff Bickett filed a petition with Dist. Judge Talliaferro of Milam Co. McCray is in the Milam Co. jail awaiting trial under change of venue from Bell Co. for the same offense as charged in Travis Co. Westmoreland, contractor, did the wood work on the new Hefley Building and the brick work was done by Capt. J. J. Irwin. The beeves in the feed lots of Crawford & McCord broke-out of their pens. Article: The Jim Bob Crow murder case jury returned a verdict of guilty in the 1st degree and assessed a life term in the penitentiary. Article: Thanksgiving Day. Gov. Culberson has appointed Judge Sam Hunter of Fort Worth to the Court of Civil Appeals, 2nd Dist., in place of Judge Head, resigned. Ex. Gov. Hogg and Hon. A. L. Matlock are reported to be fishing at Aransas Pass. Article: Dan McCray Acquitted - The jury in the Dan McCray murder case returned a verdict of not guilty. Dist. Attorney Scott was assisted in the prosecution by Hon. T. S. Henderson and Mr. Logan of Marlin. The defendant was represented by Judge Spencer Ford, Ex- Congressman Antony, R. Lyles, W. W.
