Discrepancies in the numbering of Vol. No. and Whole No. have been copied from the original. The newspapers have been microfilmed for preservation purposes and the quality of the film is, at times, poor due to the age of the newspaper at time of filming. There are also tears, cut-outs, and missing sections on various pages. In abstracting this information, an effort has been put forth to present the names as found, however, names were spelled and abbreviated in many different forms. From issue to issue, you may find individuals who have their name spelled a different ways. If the spellings are not as you would expect, please understand reading the microfilm was not an easy task. Time in general has taken its toll on the old newspapers before they were microfilmed. Sometimes, the wording is not exactly as shown in the newspaper; however, the meaning of the material has been retained. Therefore, the reader is referred to the microfilm copies for a full rendition of any excerpt. Finally, due to time and space limitations, sections or items which remain the same from issue-to-issue, i.e., Advertisement, Church Directory, Professional Cards, City Directory, et cetera, have not been repeated.
