Mrs. Fuller was a native of Milam County and would have been 80 years of age on July 30th. She was born in 1861. In 1880 she was married to J.R. Fuller who preceded her in death on 10 July 1930. Thus has the life of another of our pioneers come to an end. They were of the generation of people who laid the foundation for our present civilization and on Wednesday when she was buried, many who had known her through the years came to pay their tribute. Her parents were Elijah Goodnight and Sarah Elizabeth Donaldson. Mrs. Fuller was a descendant of the famous Goodnight family. The best known of these pioneers was Charles Goodnight who saw his first service as a cattleman near Jones Prairie before the Civil War. He later moved West to the Panhandle and there became famous for his ownership and operation of the famous Goodnight ranch. Rev. Johnnie Cole of Waco, paster of the church, conducted the service assisted by Rev. P.L. Caperton of Cameron. There were born to Mr. and Mrs. Fuller seven children, six of who survive as follows: Mrs. B.G. (Alma) Rice, J.M. Fuller, Mrs. Claude (Ethel Lee) Sproull, Mrs. R.F. (Lola) Hurry, Mrs. Cecil (Lillie Mae) Stevens, and S.R. Fuller. In addition there are thirty-five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren of the immediate family. Two brothers, Charles Goodnight of Waco and Henry Goodnight of Del Rio and one sister, Mrs. A.J. (Alberta) Bird of Dublin survive. Mrs. Fuller had been a devout member of the Baptist Church for many years becoming a member at the age of thirteen.
