All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/tx/txfiles.htm ************************************************ HOLLIMAN, Carmen Lucille Jul 26, 2001 Funeral services for Carmen Lucille Holliman, 82, of the Black Jack community, formerly of Tanglewood and Forest Grove, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2001, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Chuck Salmon of Forest Grove Christian Church and Pastor Buddy Morton officiating. Burial was in Eagle Cemetery near Rockdale. Mrs. Holliman died Thursday, July 26, in Rockdale. A resident of Black Jack since 1963, she was born May 11, 1919, in Milam County to John W. and Annie Mae (O’Bier) Tyler. She married Olen P. Holliman on Aug. 23, 1937, in Rockdale. She attended the Eagle School and Rockdale High School. Mrs. Holliman was a homemaker and rancher and she enjoyed quilting, going to church and baking pies. She was a member of Forest Grove Christian Church and the Quilting Bee at Black Jack Church. Preceding her in death was her husband on April 24, 1992; her parents; a daughter, Alma Joy Holliman; and a granddaughter, Kathy Llast. Survivors are a son, Olen Holliman Jr. of Wooster, Ohio; two daughters, Mary I. Ridgeway of Austin and Faye Schoneman and husband Clyde of Snook; two brothers, Dan Tyler of Houston and Johnny M. Tyler of Lexington; two sisters, Susan M. Garner and Tommie Nell Roach, both of Porter; also, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were William Tyler, Morris Kyle, Wayne Kyle, Jon Llast, Paul Ridgeway and Bill Duncum. Honorary pallbearers were Claude Spence, Pete Keen, Lee Keen and Wayne Morton.
