All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/tx/txfiles.htm ************************************************ JUNEK, Ella Mae Apr 2, 2001 BUCKHOLTS–Services for Ella Mae Junek, 72, of Buckholts will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2001 at Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts with the Rev. Gary Kleypas officiating. Burial will follow in the Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Buckholts. She died at Scott & White Hospital in Temple on Monday, April 2, after a long struggle with cancer. Mrs. Junek was born Nov. 17, 1928 in Brenham to Ernest Weidner Sr. and Ella Marie Kettler and lived around Buckholts most of her life. She was a lifelong member of Hope Lutheran Church in Buckholts. Mrs. Junek was a homemaker and worked at Colonial Nursing Home in Cameron as a cook for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church Hope-Rebekah Circle and was a member of the Cameron Ladies Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Junek was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Junek, Feb. 1, 1992; her father on Jan. 14, 1985 and her mother on Sept. 7, 1993. Surviving are: One son, David Junek of Temple; three daughters, Shirley Weddle of Mesquite, Marilyn Gonzalez of Belton and Susan Dean of Minerva; one brother, Ernest Weidner Jr. of Katy; six grandchildren and three nephews. Family visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Marek-Burns- Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Memorials may be made to the Hope Lutheran Church or the Hope Lutheran Memorial Park.
