All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/tx/txfiles.htm ************************************************ LETTERMAN, Edna Nov 23, 2003 LEXINGTON - Funeral services for Edna Letterman, 88, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003 at the Lexington United Methodist Church with Rev. David White of Lexington United Methodist Church officiating. Burial followed in the Lexington Memorial Cemetery. She died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003 in the Renaissance Villa in Rockdale. Mrs. Letterman, a Lexington resident, moving there from Baton Rouge, LA, was born July 28, 1915 in Beasley to Richard Weidner and Augusta Hueske Weidner. She and Carl C. Letterman were married Dec. 3, 1939 in Lake Charles, LA. She was co-owner and business manager of Letterman's Blue Print & Supply Co. of Baton Rouge, LA from 1949-1983. She was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Lexington Garden Club and a charter member of ZONTA Professional Businesswomen's Club in Baton Rouge. Preceding her in death were her husband, Feb. 18, 1999; parents; grandson, David Letterman in 1985; brothers, Roy Weidner, Fred Weidner and an infant brother Robert; sisters, Bertha Willman and Trudy Kalleen. Surviving are: Son, Carl Letterman and wife Margaret of Lexington; daughter, Priscilla Brister and husband Robert of Lexington; four grandchildren, Leigh Ann Letterman of Lexington, Charles Letterman and wife Angie of Houston, Robert Brister Jr. and wife Arlene of Lexington and Richard Brister and wife Terri of Lexington; seven great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Letterman, B.J. Brister, Dustin Brister, Zackary Brister, Dalton Brister, Dylan Brister and Delaney Brister; brother, Chester Weidner and wife Mildred of Houston; sister- in-law, Elenora Weidner of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers were B.J. Brister, Dustin Brister, Robert Brister Jr., Richard Brister, Bill Morris and Fred Rhodes.
