Donna L. McIrvin 
(November 30, 1956 - October 30, 2010) 

Donna L. McIrvin was born on November 30, 1956 in Rockdale, Texas. She was one 
of five children born to the union of Robert Cecil McIrvin, Sr. and Lucille 
Luetge McIrvin. 

Donna grew up in Rockdale on the family farm and attended Rockdale schools. 
She was a 1975 graduate of Rockdale High School. After graduation she worked a 
number of years as a nurse's aid in area nursing homes. She was a member of 
Peace Lutheran Church. Donna was baptised on January 6, 1957 and confirmed on 
May 30, 1971. She served in several capacities within the church. She was 
involved in the Murray Cemetery Association. Donna was a longtime employee of 
Intercraft in Taylor until they closed. She worked at Brookshire Brothers in 
Rockdale and was currently working at the Rockdale Walmart, serving as the 
food department manager. 

Donna passed away Saturday morning at her home near Rockdale. She had reached 
the age of 53 years. Her parents preceded her in death and her grandparents 
Orley and Goldie Eagleburger McIrvin and Otto and Selma Kirchenwitz Luetge. 

Donna is survived by her siblings; brother, Robert Cecil McIrvin, Jr. of 
Rockdale; sisters, Shirley McIrvin, Delores Beran, and Debbie McIrvin all of 
Rockdale. Several nephews and a niece. 

Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a kind and 
gentle soul that always saw the good in everyone. She will be greatly missed 
by all whose lives she touched. 

Funeral services will be Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the 
Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Jan Campbell of Peace 
Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. 
Public visitation will be from 6 PM until 8 PM Sunday evening at the funeral 
home. 

Pallbearers; James David, Skylar David, Logan David, Derek David, John Elbert 
Fischer, Justin McIrvin, Ryan McIrvin, Ernesto Perez, Jr., Paul Unger, Robert 
von Gonten, Dylan David.
