Robert C. ‘Mr. Mac’ McIrvin Sr.
Sept. 13, 1924 — Sept. 7, 2001

ROCKDALE — Services for Robert C. “Mr. Mac” McIrvin Sr., 76, of the Bethlehem 
community near Rockdale are set for 10 a.m. Monday at Phillips & Luckey 
Funeral Home in Rockdale.

The Rev. Waldemar Wendel will officiate. Burial will be in the Rockdale 
I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. McIrvin died Friday at his home.

He was born in Idalia, Colo., and lived in the Rockdale area since 1952. He 
served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired in 1974 after 22 years 
as a crane operator with ALCOA in the Rockdale operations.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Luetge McIrvin.

Survivors include a son, Robert Cecil McIrvin Jr. of Rockdale; four daughters, 
Shirley A. McIrvin, Delores J. Beran, Donna L. McIrvin and Debbie McIrvin, all 
of Rockdale; two brothers, Delbert McIrvin of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Elmer 
McIrvin of Rockdale; a sister, Viola Bodeman of Sidney, Neb.; five 
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
