Pinkerton Sr., 73, were held Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at 2 p.m. from the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Kirk of Marlow Baptist Church and Rev. Joe Weldon Bailey of Liberty Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. He died Saturday, June 1, 2002 in the Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale. Mr. Pinkerton, a Milano resident for the past 13 years, moving there from Rockdale, was born May 20, 1929 in Thorndale to Woody and Maudie (Wilson) Pinkerton. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Marine Corps and loved to collect arrowheads and travel to Las Vegas. Mr. Pinkerton, a leaderman at Alcoa, retired in 1989 after 39 years. He was preceded in death by a son, Clyde G. Pinkerton Jr. March 4, 1996; his parents and two grandchildren. Surviving are: Son, Mark Pinkerton and wife Michelle of Belton; two daughters, Patrica Bitner and husband Billy and Lisa Malone and husband Mike all of Cameron; brother, Kenneth Pinkerton and wife Fannie of Oologah, OK; sister, Bennie Pulley and husband Earl of Rockdale; five grandchildren, Kenny Schneebli, Sara Elliott, Crystal Nelson, Emily Pinkerton and Corbin Pinkerton; great-grandchild, Katy Elliott; also several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were J.D. Howard, Andy Kirk, Jerry Pulley, Billy Bitner, Anthony Proctor and Ernest Garza. Honorary pallbearers were Harold "Shorty" Morris, Tom Martin, Ed Garner, Frank Warren, Ed Remaley and Jerry Kirk.
