Ruby Lee Swanzy, 84, of Cameron died Tuesday at a Cameron nursing home. The
funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-
Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. James E. Lafferty officiating.
Burial will follow at IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale.

Swanzy was born in 1918 to Rubie Bufford and Florence Lee "Pinkey" Crosby
Craddock. She worked for Dr. W.R. Newton, Dr. T.L. Denson and the Colonial
Nursing Home. She married R.A. "Bert" Swanzy on Dec. 24, 1946 and he preceded
her in death in 1991.

She is survived by a sister, Winnie Mae Green and her husband Raymond of
Cameron; three nieces; and three nephews.
