The Civil War is almost over and Walker is trying to get appointed County
Commissioner. Tom Cunningham is trying to back out of a cotton deal. Walker
wants Moses to build a cotton gin. General Wharton's murder is mentioned. Other
names; McNelly, General Smith and Baylor (killed Wharton).
