He mentions that McNelly is still mad at him for staying away so long on leave. He also mentions that McNelly has signed his application for a transfer to Bandusis [sic] regiment. He has talked to John Cunningham (possibly a nephew) who is a member of that regiment and John informs him that they are being transferred to Milam County. Walker relates that Jones and White have not reported back yet and that McNelly is angry and has threatened to send for Tom Perkins (Walker's brother) and Cass to replace them. This was written in March, the Civil war would be ended in Texas by May.
