All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ****************************************** 1906-Miss Evelyn Brown Dead After a short illness with typhoid fever, Miss Evelyn Brown died at her home in Kileen Thursday, and her remains were brought here on the evening train and laid to rest in the Odd Fellows' cemetery yesterday morning. Miss Evelyn was the youngest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. B>R. Brown of this city and she made her home for several years and until a short time ago, when she moved with her brother Ben to Kileen to enmgage in the drug business. She was held in high esteem by everybody and the announcement of her death brought sadness to the hearts of many Goldthwaite people who knew and admired her. The funeral services were held in the Methodist church yesterday morning and were conducted by Rev. R.D. Moon, pastor of the church. A large congregation was there and one of the longest funeral processions ever seen in the town followed to the cemetery, where Rev. G.W. Templin held a short service. To the Parents and relatives of the young lady, the Eatle would excent its sincere sympathy. (She died 12 Jul 1905 dtr of Bennett Reuben Brown & Mary Jane Harman.)
