Priddy died at his home in the Priddy community last Saturday Morning about 10 o'clock after a long illness with bladder trouble. His death was not unexpected, as his condition had been known to be critical for two years and for the past several months his recovery was known to be next to impossible. Mr. Priddy was the eldest son of Rev. T. J. Priddy and was a resident of the county for many years having moved here from Bell County in 1887. He was an honorable, upright man and a valuable citizen. He was a quiet and unassuming but all who knew him realized that he was an honest man of true worth. His influence was ever on the side of right and justice and for the betterment of mankind. The world needs such men as George Priddy and his loss is not confined alone to his family, but to the community and county. He leaves a widow and a large family of sons and daughters, besides other relatives and to all of them the Eagle extends sincere sympathy.
