PARK, 86, resident of Bowie since 1899, died at his home here Monday morning after a long illness. He was the husband of MRS. MARY JANE PARKS, who died 2 _ years ago. He was born in Obion County, Tennessee, August 2, 1858, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church since boyhood. He had been active in church, business, and social activities. Before retiring from business, he owned and operated the Bowie Granite and Marble Works. Funeral services were held August 15 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. BEN L. BAITS, pastor, officiating. Burial was at Selma cemetery with Burgess Funeral Home in charge. He is survived by four daughters, MRS. MABLE HOLMAN of Bowie, MRS. H. L. BATTLE of Fort Worth, MRS. C. A. WOODS of Alba, MRS. J. L. BRASHEAR of Abilene; two sons, EARL PARK of Bowie and EDWARD PARK of Tulsa, Okla., 21 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three sisters MISS DELLA PARK of San Antonio, MRS. JENNY ROBERTS of Bowie and MRS. RENA RAY of Wilson, Oklahoma. Last Rites for WALTER WILLIAMS Last rites for WALTER C. WILLIAMS, 55, were held at the Forestburg Methodist Church, August 17. Interment was in Perryman cemetery, arranged by Burgess Funeral Home. Mr. WILLIAMS was a native of Montague County, and he had been a well known resident of Mallard for the past 34 years. He passed away in Bowie August 15. Surviving are one brother, G. W. WILLIAMS of Sunset; a half-brother EWELL WILLIAMS in service in Australia; two half-sisters MRS. ALLIE B. POYNER in California, and PAULINE WILLIAMS in service in France; three children, FRED WILLIAMS in service stationed at Lincoln, Nebraska, HAZEL WILLIAMS and INEZ WILLIAMS, both of Mallard.
