L. MORROW, MRS. CHARLES A. SMITH, and RICHARD MORROW returned from Wenona, Illinois where they attended the funeral of RMS. ANNA CRONE, mother of Mrs. Morrow and Mrs. Smith. MRS. PENN JONES received a telegram from Lt. Jones, who is fighting with the 36th Division in Italy that reported all well. Mrs. Jones has been making her home with her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. H. L. ANGOVE. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. TABIT and daughter JO JANE, MRS. D. C. STOUT and Mr. and Mrs. SCOTT GARNER and children, EDWIN EARL and PAMELA JANE, all of Fort Worth visited Mr. and Mrs. W. W. PHILLEY. MISS LURA DEAN DAVIS was in Fort Worth. HARRY SULLENGER, 3rd Class Gunner of the Navy, is spending his furlough with his mother RMS. MARGUERITE CROCKETT and other relatives. Supt. W. J. STONE, JAMES DOUGHERTY, and BOB STORY of Nocona attended the Bowie Rotary Club. Lt. HUDSPETH of the Marine Air Forces is on leave in Bowie. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. IRONS of Frederick, Oklahoma are visiting in Bowie. C. C. TURPIN of Dallas had business in Bowie. E. B. COE Jr. has been appointed wing leader of the Naval Air Technical Training Center at Memphis, Tenn. JOHN BRUCE SANDERS is now a Seaman Second Class at the Naval Base at San Diego, California and has been selected for the Navy V-12 program. E. G. WOOD had business at Fort Worth. E. L. COVEY had business at Fort Worth. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. DAVIS and son CHARLES of Pharr and Mr. and Mrs. W. P. WATKINS of Beaumont and MISS GRACE DAVIS spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. G. DAVIS. C. E. HILL of Wichita Falls, formerly of Bowie, visited here. Mr. and Mrs. ALBERT WORTHEN of Fleetwood, Oklahoma visited his mother MRS. ADA POSEY and family. HENRY WILLIAMSON and R. L. HALFORD of Nickleville were here on business. MRS. EUNICE KEENER and children of Dallas visited her brother JESS BURRIS and family. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. GIBSON of the Huddleston vicinity were here in town. Mr. and Mrs. WILLIE BRASHER of Raymondville were in town en route to visit relatives at Ryan, Oklahoma. They are former Montague County residents. Mr. and Mrs. ELIGA RUSSELL of Pleasant Hill shopped here. B. F. RAMSDALE of Sunset was in town. Mr. and Mrs. W. P. SISK, Mr. and Mrs. EDGAR SISK and children of Alvord visited MRS. ADA POSEY and family. R. S. MCCMILLION and family of the Dewey community were shopping in Bowie. J. B. DAVIS of Bellevue was here on business. J. T. WASHBURN of Decatur visited relatives here. MRS. S. H. MCDONALD Funeral services for MRS. SARAH HELEN MCDONALD, 65, of Sunset will be held Thursday afternoon Oct. 7. Funeral arrangements are by Burgess Funeral Home in Bowie. Mrs. MCDONALD, nee CAMPBELL, was a native of Montague County and had been a resident of Sunset for many years. She died early Wednesday. Survivors include two daughters, MRS. MELVA OWENS of Sunset and MRS. ETHEL NIX of Hollis, Oklahoma; three suns, D.R. MCDONALD of Chillicothe, L. C. MCDONALD of Forestburg, H. L. MCDONALD of Burkburnett, 12 grandchildren and other relatives.
