STUART WATSON of the Army Air Forces and MRS.WATSON are enjoying a leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. E. WATSON, before he reports for further training with the famous 19th Bombardment Squadron at Pyote, Texas. Mrs. W. A. CLARK enrolled at NTSTC at Denton to complete work on her degree. MISS WILLIE LEE DICKERMAN returned from Waco. Mr. and Mrs. MURIEL WILLETT and little daughter visited relatives at Bowie. Lt. and Mrs. NELSON R. MOORE left to report for duty at San Antonio after visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. TALMADGE MOORE of Bowie. He recently completed OCS training at Camp Lee, Va. where he received his commission. MISS VIRGINIA ROBINSON, student at TSCW at Denton, visited Mr. and Mrs. E.C. HEARD and other friends at Bowie. Mr. and Mrs. ALTON MCNATT and daughter JEAN of Austin visited his parents, Mayor and Mrs. J. C. MCNATT and other relatives. Capt. and Mrs. VENDOR REEDER and little daughter of Vernon visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. TDOUT (TROUT?). MRS. HOMER B. LATHAM and daughter MARY ELIZABETH returned from a visit with LINDLEY LATHAM at New Jersey. ROBERT LATHAM, who accompanied them, remained in New Jersey where he will work for the summer. MISS MABLEBETH JACKSON of Fort Worth spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. DOC JACKSON. DONALD MANN, manager of the PERKINS-TIMBERLAKE store, had business at Fort Worth. CYRIL SMITH of Nocona was in Bowie. Fire Chief ALVIN C. BACCUS and ELVIN BUTLER attended a meeting of the west Texas firemen’s association at Olney. Mr. and Mrs. GEORGE CASSLES of San Angelo visited relatives in Bowie and Stoneburg. E. G. WOOD of the Wood Dry Goods Store had business at Dallas. Sgt. MAURICE BOWDEN is on furlough with the home folks. He is the Army Air Forces. MRS. HENRY T. AYRES returned from visiting her daughter MISS MARJORIE at Corpus Christi. MRS. FRED CARNEY and daughter SANDA of Fort Worth are visiting MRS. C. M. OWENS and Mr. and Mrs. E. C. HEARD. Mr. and Mrs. ALVIN NEELY of Oklahoma City are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. JIM SMALL and Mr. and Mrs. HORACE NEELY. MRS. ROY SANDERS and children are visiting relatives at Dublin. G. L. GRIFFIN had business at Fort Worth. LESLIE LEVY is spending this week at the Perkins-Timberlake store at Haskell. Lt. J. F. PIERCE is now assigned to Hill Field at Ogden, Utah. Mrs. Pierce and children left to join him after visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.R PIERCE. MRS. MARION MOSS of Arlington is visiting her children and Mr. and Mrs. N. C. MOSS. MRS. BERT SPEIR was called to Dallas by the sudden death of a sister. MRS. HARRY KARLSBERG visited at Wichita Falls. Gunner Mate 3-C CHARLES HOPPER is enjoying a furlough with home folks. He is the son OF MRS. DESSIE HOPPER and has been in the Navy for two years with 1 _ years in the Pacific theatre. MISS THELMA PIGG returned from Texas City. She was accompanied home by her sister MRS. ROSCOE WILEY, who is spending the week with her mother MRS. JOHNNIE PIGG. HENRY T. AYRES, manager of the S. DAUBE & Co., and MRS. EVA GOLDEN and MRS. JESS PARRISH of the Daube store were on business in Dallas. HORACE TINSLEY left Monday for Valejo, California then sail shortly for Pearl Harbor to do construction work for the Navy. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. TINSLEY. M. POSEY and DAVE MAJOR consulted with the OPA officials at Fort Worth. MISS WILLE LEE DICKERMAN is visiting at Nocona. E. L. BAKER left this week for his post at Camp Butner, N. C. after visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.A. BAKER. Mr. and Mrs. HERMAN REDDY and daughter of Coleman visited relatives at Bowie.
