J. REYNOLDS, who comes here from Sherman… from W. T. HAYS, editor and proprietor. MRS. MYRA HEMPHILL MRS. MYRA HEMPHILL died at the home of her daughter, MRS. G. D. WEAVER, at Sunset, Sunday afternoon at the age 84 years, 10 months, 15 days. She went to Sunset with Mrs. Weaver Wednesday of last week. Mrs. Hemphill had been a resident of this city for many years and enjoyed the acquaintance of many people in the community who held her in highest respect and esteem. She is survived by four children, P. A. HEMPHILL and MART A. HEMPHILL of Saint Jo, Prof. ANDREW HEMPHILL of Fort Worth and Mrs. WEAVER, now at Sunset. GEORGE W. HEMPHILL, who died three years ago, was a son, in the hardware business here for many years. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. PATTON, and attended by a large congregation of sorrowing relatives and friends. Many floral offerings were heaped on the casket present by sympathetic friends. Prairie Hill Items Mr. and Mrs. J. P. SLATON spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. W. T. EADES. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. PERKINS visited Mr. and Mrs. LEE FLOWERS. Mr. and Mrs. LEE JORDAN spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. JOHN SLATON. Mr. and Mrs. MARION WILSON were guests of her mother MRS. G. B. RONE last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. REID were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. WILSON. GLOVER THOMPSON returned from Gainesville. BONNIE RUTH WILSON spent last week with her brother MARION WILSON. CLINE COLE of Hollis visited his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. EADS. ZELMA REID visited BONNIE RUTH WILSON. Dye Mount News Mr. and Mrs. J. K. SEIBOLD and son CECIL were guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. WINDER of Stoneburg Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. JOHN BRUMBEAU and children of Fort Worth were guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. BRUMBEAU. Bro. GIDEON of Forestburg filled his appointment here at the Methodist Church. Mr. TURNER, CHARLIE ROWE, J. B. JACKSON and W. S. DENNIS went to Duncan, Oklahoma. CLATE BENNETT left for Lubbock. Mr. and Mrs. LONNIE TURNER and son LEON were guests of Mr. and Mrs. GEORGE UMBERSON Sunday. MRS. WILL PETREE, who was poisoned Monday night on okra, was some better. GRANDMA STOUT is also sick. WALLACE BAKER returned to Dallas. ABE NIRDER returned to his home at Corpus Christi after visiting his aunt MRS. GEORGE BAKER and uncle DUNFORD OLIVER. Mr. and Mrs. LOUIS YOUNG spent Saturday with her brother JOHN COOK and wife. Mr. and Mrs. CLAUDE BAKER, ORA WADE and MARY BAKER were guests of Mrs. M. F. WATSON. Mr. and Mrs. JOE HOLLAND of Greenwood were here, hunting for cotton pickers. MRS. DUNFORD OLIVER returned home after visiting her relatives at Rachells, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. FLOYD COOK were guests of his father CHARLES COOK of Stony Point. Mr. and Mrs. JOHN MOORE visited relatives at Forestburg. MISS IRENE ANGELL visited MARDELL DAVIS at Saint Jo. Mr. and Mrs. O. J. MITCHELL moved here from Mallard. MRS. ALICE AKINS and son ALTO of Roston visited her mother MRS. A. V. WILLIAMS. Mr. GRIFFITH and sons from California came in last week to visit Mr. WATSON. But they reached here too late as Mr. Watson left for Waco. After a short visit here, they left for Oklahoma to make their home. MISS MILDRED VON REE was the guest of MILDRED MAY WILSON. HAROLD ANGELL visited HERMAN THOMSPON. MISS MARY MEADOW left for Washington, D. C. where she will attend school this winter. MRS. S. E. WOODALL of Bowie is visiting the W. T. HAYS family. Dr. and Mrs. G. D. MYRTLE STANCILL was called from Henrietta Monday of last week on account of the illness of her brother CECIL COLE, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. COLE. She returned home Thursday.
