HELEN GILLENWATER MRS. HELEN GILLENWATER, 64 years of age, formerly of Saint Jo, died at her home in Memphis, Texas Tuesday morning. The remains were brought to Saint Jo Wednesday morning and taken directly to the Mountain Park Cemetery for interment. Services were conducted at the cemetery by Rev. EARL PATTON, arrangements by C. H. DUNBAR. MRS. GILLENWATER was reared in Saint Jo and moved away about 25 years ago, finally locating in Memphis. She is survived by three sons and four daughters: E. W. and R. D. GILLENWATER of Memphis, BRENT GILLENWATER of Tulsa, MRS. SAM WEST of Memphis, MRS. BEN CATTERLINE of Tulsa, MRS. MELVIN WOODY of Los Angeles, and MRS. CHARLES SILVA of Veda, Texas. She is also survived by two brothers J. A WHALEY of Memphis and HOLDER WHALEY of Estelline and a cousin JIM WHALEY of Gainesville, all present at the funeral. D. L. DOWD, B. R. GRIGSBY and others shipped out of Saint Jo two car loads of pecans totaling 65,000 pounds. CHESTER HOLMES of Wichita Falls was here. THOMAS EDES of Sanger spent the weekend with his mother MRS. CAL PARSONS. Mr. and Mrs. JOEL BRYANT visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. BUCK GILES. MRS. RUBY GREGSON MRS. RUBY GREGSON, 30 years old, formerly of Saint Jo, died at the family home in Fort Worth December 18 at St. John’s hospital. The remains were brought to Gainesville and interred December 15. MRS. GREGSON, formerly MISS RUBY SCOTT, was reared in Saint Jo and the daughter of MRS. A. L. SCOTT. She is survived by her husband D. G. GREGSON and one daughter. J. W. PADGETT and son BUFORD went to Gainesville. Mr. and Mrs. TALLEY spent Sunday with LEWIS DICKERSON and family. MISS IRENE SMITH spent Sunday with MISS ETHEL DICKERSON. Mr. and Mrs. BALL gave a musical entertainment to friends Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. OLIVER TUCKER spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. PADGETT. D. C. Mr. Cooke has been in the hardware business here since Sept. 8, 1924. Mr. Hemphill has been living in and near Saint Jo for the past 35 yeas. Refrigerating Plant for Saint Jo: A. T. BARRETT, superintendent for construction and rebuilding and district manage for the Texas Louisiana Power Co. with headquarters at Nocona, was here looking after some improvement work being done by the company. The company will install here a refrigerating plant. MRS. D. M. MARKS and little daughters MAY and JEAN of Fort Smith, Arkansas are visiting her sister MRS. WILL BARNES. MRS. J. R. WEATHEFORD of Henrietta came to visit her sister MRS. W. T. HAYS. MRS. S. E. WOODALL, who visited the family of W. T. HAYS, returned to Bowie. Mr. and Mrs. BRYAN DILL of Clarendon came to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. HAYS and his parents, Mr and Mrs. GEORGE DILL. The residence of W. M. BERRY in the west part of the city was destroyed by fire Wednesday. The house of five rooms was totally destroyed. ALLEN MCGRADY had business at Gainesville. Mr. and Mrs. JIM WILLIAMS and MRS.
