C. KING, superintendent, assisted by MIKE BULLINGER, timekeeper. EARL E. SMITH, pastor of the Church of Christ at Comanche, Oklahoma, will conduct a revival here. Bro. Smith is a young man with Bible training from David Lipscomb College at Nashville, Tennessee. Personals W. P. MCNEIL of Bellevue was here. MISS JOHNNIE HARPER of Sanger is visiting her sister MRS. D. C. BERRY JR. MISSES DOROTHY JO LAUDERDALE and ELIZABETH JANE ALDRIEDGE and PAUL PERS spent Sunday at Turner Falls, Oklahoma. MRS. WALTER COLLIER was in Denton. D. C. BERRY Jr., GARLAND BOYD and CLARENCE FAULKNER left to work in the oil fields around Chickasha, Oklahoma. MRS. RALPH DONNELL visied in Denton. Mr. and Mrs. ULIS BURNS and family and MRS. ADDIE LONG returned Sunday from a sight seeing tour through northern N.M. and southern Colorado. They visited Pike’s Peak, Cave of the Winds, Cripple Creek, and Royal Gorge. On their return, they visited Mr. and Mrs. R. C. POTEET at Ralls and Mr. and Mrs. ANDY WHITE at Sweetwater. Mr. and Mrs. D. M. RUSSELL and daughter BETTY went to Paducah to visit another daughter MRS. RUSSELL. W. P. BURNS returned from a visit with his son W. R. BURNS in Dallas, his son M. BURNS in Houston and his daughter MRS. ETHEL HUDSPETH in Arlington. MRS. W. J. LASSITER was in Wichita Falls visiting her daughter MRS. L. A. GUINN and grandson LOYD Jr. BOBBY RUTHE LASSITER is spending the week with her sister Mrs. Guinn. MRS. S. J. PEDIGO visited her mother MRS. J. T. HONEYCUTT in Denton. LANE HOWELL, CLINTON MITCHELL, CECIL BOGGESS, and PETE PHILLIPS went fishing at the old Red River Bridge. W. I. HOWARD was here from Henrietta. Mr. and Mrs. OBE BATEMAN and family of Houston are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. J. MARTIN. W. L. SCOTT was in Oklahoma City visiting his sister MRS. C. N. CONLEY and Mr. Conley and to attend embalming lectures. Mr. and Mrs. ORB ADAMS are having their house painted and redone inside. Mrs. P. E. REDMAN went to Wichita Falls then to Dallas. She is suffering with a painful bone infection. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. HENDRICKS of Gainesville were here. Mrs. P. D. MORRIS and HOWARD MORRIS were in Gainesville. Mrs. C. F. PHILLIPS was in Wichita Falls to hear a book review of Steinbeck’s novel “The Grapes of Wrath” presented by Mrs. FAY M. YAUGER, lecturer and writer. Mrs. J. T. DOUGHTY, who visited her daughter Mrs. PAUL D. ROBERTS, left for Dallas to visit another daughter Mrs. W. F. DEAN. Mr. and Ms. C. E. CUNNINGHAM took their grandson JOHNNY, who has been visiting them since the Fourth, to Sherman where they met Mr. and Mrs. JOHN DAVE CUNNINGHAM, who returned with Johnny to Paris. Mr. and Mrs. LOUIS T. HOLLAND of Montague visited his mother Mrs. PEARL HOLLAND and Mr. and Mrs. GEORGE ROGERS and family. Mr. and Mrs. HOUSTON HILBURN of Sherman visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. DAVIS. They were accompanied home by his mother MRS. MYRTLE HILBURN who has been here for an extended visit. The Tribune received announcement of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. J. A. GOWER of Alma, Illinois on June 30th. The 10 _ pound girl was named SIDNEY ANN. Forestburg News DOYLE HILL, son of Mr. and Mrs. DEE HILL, was taken to the Gainesville hospital for appendicitis. Rev. and Mrs. A. L. DENNIS and family motored to Fort Worth to take his mother and son who have been visiting them for the past few weeks. Mrs. CLAUDE WILLIS and daughter CHARLENE were at Alvord. Miss FRANCES WHITE of Alvord visited relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. I. M. JONES of Montague were here. Mr. and Mrs. SAM LANDERS and son of Gainesville were here. Mrs. CASEY JONES, Mrs. CECIL JONES and daughter were in Saint Jo. BEN JONES shopped in Bowie. Mr. and Mrs. ROY CULVER and DARWIN WHITE attended the rodeo at Stamford on the Fourth. Mr. and Mrs. EMMETT COX of Montague were visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. LOYD SATTERFIELD. Mrs. J. M. DUNN, Mrs. LOYD SATTERFIELD, and Mrs. BONNIE SOLOMON were in Bowie last week. Mr. and Mrs. ROY BOX of Saint Jo visited his mother Mrs. BARRETT MOORE and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. ALLEN SHULTZ were in Gainesville to visit her brother DOYLE HILL who is ill. OLLIE COLEMAN, LEWIS BRIDWELL and PETE KUYKENDALL attended the meeting at Greenwood Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. JACK DILL and son of Iowa Park visited relatives here. Mrs. BONNIE SOLOMON was operated on appendicitis Tuesday and is reported doing fine. She was accompanied to the hospital by Mrs. J. M. DUNN and her children J. C. SOLOMON and Mrs. HARDY SEAY. Mr. and Mrs. BARRETT MOORE, WANDA LEE BOX, Mr. and Mrs. LOUIS MCCLURE and son JERRY left for a trip through Alabama and Louisiana. BEN JONES and WANDA LEE BOX attended the show at Saint Jo. Illinois Bend ORA EDNA and SAMMY JOE HARRIS of Leon, Oklahoma visited their grandmother Mrs. W. C. MASTEN. ADRIAN PARKER returned from the west Texas harvest fields. ALLEN AGEE’S mother is here visiting Mr. and Mrs. AGEE and daughter JEWEL. Mr. and Mrs. CLIFF DOWD and son EDWARD spent several days last week with Dr. and Mrs. WILSON of Sherman. Mr. and Mrs. JOHN LASEMAN and family of Wichita are visiting Mr. and Mrs. B. J. LASEMAN and family. Mr. and Mrs. ROY HUTCHINSON and three children of Bakersfield, California returned home. They visited Mr. and Mrs. BOB HUTCHINSON here and Mrs. Hutchinson’s parents in Arkansas. W. C. MASTEN was taken to the hospital at Gainesville. Mrs. RAY DOWD was in Montague and Bowie on business. Mrs. HAM and son BOBBY JACK took a train to their home at Turkey. The cream house directly behind B. R. GRIGSBY’S grocery store burned Saturday. Mrs. WILLIS FLEMING is recovering from her operation. GEORGE ROGERS is having three new rooms added to his residence. D. W. WILEY sold the property where he was living to J. F. DAUGHTY /DOUGHTY. FRANK PRICE and wife and MISS DORA GRIFFIS were in Gainesville. W. H. HILTON and family, who live near Illinois Bend, were trading in Saint Jo. J. P. BYFORD, living between Dye Mound and Mallard, was in Saint Jo on business. WILLIAM STOGNER, Sr. bought from D. W. WILEY, the residence property just west of G. W. PHILLIPS’ place. MRS. W. P. MABRY will make her home with her daughter MRS. BESS JOHNSON at Ryan, Oklahoma. District deputy grand master C. H. DUNBAR installed the officers at the Odd Fellows Lodge at Nocona. EDWARD ANDERSON of Stoneburg was here. JOHN DURHAM and wife, living near Krum, Denton County, came to visit J. S. HENDRICKS and family here and Mrs. Durham’s parents, JIM COURSEY and wife on Elm south of Saint Jo. F.M. BOYDSTON, living near at Hastings, Oklahoma, came to visit his brother WILL BOYDSTON. MRS. D. L. DOWD went to Stoneburg to visit the families of Dr. W. H. ANDERSON and Rev. JAMES ANDERSON. J. H. DORT is serving on the grand jury at Montague. MISS OLA CARMICHAEL left for Clovis, New Mexico to visit relatives. She was joined at Nocona by her grandmother MRS. CARMICHAEL. MISS BERRY BELLAMY of Oklahoma City spent the week here with her friend MISS DAVE BLEVINS. MRS. C. F. PHILLIPS left to visit her mother-in-law at Nocona and then to Burkburnett to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. P. MCCRACKEN . MRS. E. F. ROSS and son EDWARD, who visited relatives J. B. RINKLE and family at Frederick, Oklahoma, returned home. C. W. D. OLIVER and wife of near Dye Mound took the train for Fort Worth to visit relatives, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. NERIDER.
