Robert S. Franks, Rev. Wallace Reed and Rev. Joe Walker officiating. Born March 22, 1881 at Spanish Fort, Texas, he was married April 6, 1914 to Nona moss Mayberry at Wichita Falls, Texas and they made their home at Granite and Lefors, Texas, moving to Meridian community in 1923 where they resided until they came to Erick in January 1958. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. A son preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of the home address, two daughters, Lucile Nesbiett, Clovis, New Mexico, and Helen Jane Ewing, Ogden, Kansas; two sons, O.K., Jr., Sweetwater, Oklahoma; Frederick, Erick; four grandchildren; two brothers, George and Grover, Malvern, Arkansas. Pall bearers were Milton Cardin, E.L. Fowler, Jr., Clifford Weston, Durwood York, Dean Abernath, Bill Cotts. Interment was in the Mulberry cemetery, Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
