James Madison McNabb within a few days of 86 years of age died at the family home six miles west of Saint Jo on Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Childress of Bonita. Deceased being an old settler and widely and favorably known the funeral was largely attended, many friends and acquaintances coming from a distance. The floral offerings were superb. He is survived by his wife Eliza Ann Chapman McNabb, three sons and four daughters as follows: A. L. and J. P. of Carnegie, Oklahoma; E. L. McNabb, Alma, Oklahoma; Mrs Jennie Goodpasture, Nacona, Texas; Mrs. Emma Carpenter, Dallas; Mrs. Rose Anderson, Hugo, Oklahoma all of whom were present at the funeral. James Madison McNabb was born February 26, 1841 and was married 66 years ago to the woman who now survives him. Seven children were born to them and all are still living and were at the funeral. A curious fact about the family is that the whole family was never together at one time until last Wednesday when there called together by Mr. McNabb's last illness. The oldest child married and left the family circle before the youngest was born, and while they all seen each other often. It just never happened that they were all at the same place at the same time until the date above mentioned. The family are old settlers having lived on the present home place for more than forty years. St. Jo Tribune. St. Jo, Texas.
